Santos Grey/Green Natural Roof Slate is from sedimentary stone, it is harder and denser than many other types of slate.  They require extra care when handling and fixing, should be cut using a circular disc and fitted using hook fixings and nails.

Slate Supplies recommend using the heavier 9mm selection on more exposed sites as they are stronger.
